There is a well.....
This well is the Well of Universal Wisdom. And, one might ask, "What is wisdom?" Its first attribute is truth .
Knowledge Is the state or fact of knowing based upon familiarity, awareness, or understanding gained through experience or study. It is the sum or range of what has been perceived, discovered, or learned.
Wisdom adds understanding of what is true, right, or lasting. It is the sum of scholarly learning through the ages, including insight and knowledge.
Why don't we ladle wisdom?

Becoming free of prejudice.
Prejudice is the residue of prior judgment. To some extent our minds are already made up. A mind already filled with conviction is usually closed to additional information, be it fallacy or truth.
In the sermon on the mount Jesus says: Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. When translated from the earlier Aramaic text, the word "humble" appears instead of "poor in spirit", because the word rokha in this instance means pride. Jesus was referring to unassuming persons who were free from racial pride and prejudice, who had transcended this material world. " We could even restate this beatitude as: Blessed are they who are humble, for they are open to the truth of the kingdom of heaven. Or, he who thinks he has all the answers, has as much as he shall have.
Herbert Spencer was an English philosopher. He left us this wisdom: "There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance - that principle is contempt prior to investigation."
You shall know the truth.
Just as we were born with a wisdom ladle, we have a companion gift - we shall know the truth when we see it. Unfortunately, that which is true for each of us might not also be true for all others. Seeing our wisdom clearly is not always easy. Wisdom sight can be clouded by carnal desire, delusion and prejudice. But, for most of us, we can know the truth and wisdom when we see it. We just know. We just know.
